The Tigerfish is well-known as one of the best fighting freshwater fish on the planet. Our Caprivi Concession in Northern Namibia is a renowned area for catching huge Tigers and a bunch of other exciting species.
We offer two options on Tiger fish fishing:
Option 1:
While on your hunt in the Caprivi we can combine a couple of days Tiger fishing.
Option 2:
This is a complete Tigerfish fishing trip on its own, with no hunting included.
This Zambezi and Kwando River fishing experience offers guests an unforgettable 6 night/7day fishing trip. (Suggested, it can be longer if the clients want to fish more.). Guests will arrive at either Katima Mulilo Airport in Namibia or at Kasane International Airport in Botswana.
From there, guests will be collected by our experienced guides and transferred to their lodge in Katima Mulilo. The first evening will be spent exchanging fishing stories around an open fire and getting gear ready for an early start the next day directly from the lodge in Katima Mulilo. If all guests arrive relatively early, a late afternoon fishing trip or sunset river cruise could be scheduled.
Day 1 & 2
This will comprise of two full days of fishing on the Zambezi River, where Tigerfish and Bream will be the targeted species. Anglers will be lodged at lodging in Katima Mulilo for these two evenings.
Day 3
Anglers will be allowed to take a slight breather and will take a 2-hour drive to Kwando River near Kongola where they will check in at the lodge and take a relaxing afternoon game drive in the adjacent Mudumu National Park.
Day 4 & 5
Will include 2 full days of fishing on the Kwando River where a host of fish species – especially bream – will be targeted.
On the day of departure, anglers will be transferred back to their designated airport.
This fishing experience offers guests the opportunity to target trophy sized Tiger fish, a host of Bream and Barbel species, and Pike. For Tigerfish, late April to December offers the best fishing and for Bream species, mid-June to November offers the best fishing. This fishing trip will offer the fly fisherman, art lure fisherman and conventional fisherman an opportunity to land a trophy-sized tiger fish or bream.
